Tell us about their dream
Nominations are free and open to school-aged children living in Australia. Anyone aged 18 or over may nominate an eligible child, and nominations remain active beyond their submission month.
A next step that fits the child
One Finalist is selected each month—twelve annually. We explore flexible, career-specific support that could help them move closer to their ambition, where resources and feasibility allow.
An intended longer-term commitment
One of the twelve annual Finalists becomes the Golden Ticket Winner. This represents an intention to support their career pathway over time, subject to available resources and practical feasibility.
Membership is optional and completely separate from nominations and selection. It never improves a child's selection chances.
More than a standard prize

What could genuinely help this child take their next step? That is the question we want to explore—not simply which item to award.
DKA aims to pursue relevant opportunities and practical support, including doors that may otherwise feel out of reach.
Depending on the child's pathway and what can realistically be arranged, this could mean:
- Guidance from someone with relevant experience.
- An introduction or specialist experience.
- Access to an appropriate opportunity or resource.
- Another practical, career-specific next step.
These are possibilities, not promised benefits. Funding, placements, professional access and career outcomes are not guaranteed.

From his dream
to theirs.
Adrian Anderson found his dream career teaching martial arts. After severe injuries left him relearning to walk and unable to return to that career, he founded Dream Kids Australia.
His experience as a teacher—and the loss of his own pathway—shaped a mission to help children explore theirs.
